About the area

Alexandra Headland, also known by the locals as 'Alex', is a relaxed and laid back coastal community on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

This beautiful spot lies on what is known as the Sunshine Strip between Mooloolaba and Maroochydore and to the west lays Buderim.

With its inviting beaches and rolling surf, Alexandra Headland's main attraction is its coastal frontage which includes beach, headland and parks that extend for kilometres north and south.

The Alexandra Headland Surf Club patrols a swimming area providing a safe area for families and visitors to enjoy the great surf and sand. Off this rocky headland is also some of the best surf on the Queensland Coast. Along the coast there are many places to sign up for surf lessons and rent boards to try it out for yourself.

If surf and sun is not what you had in mind, throughout Alexandra Headland there are picnic and barbeque areas ideal for barbeques with family and friends.

Alexandra Headland is only minutes away from major Sunshine Coast shopping centres and attractions including Sea Life Mooloolaba and Australia Zoo.
